Hands holding the hands holding the hands holding the void at Galleri Fisk, Bergen 2017
Scan and inkjet print, audio on loop: The title comes from Giacometti’s sculpture Hands Holding the Void (Invisible Object), a bronze gure holding an emptiness in its hands. I recorded the echoing sound in the cavity of a two-part plaster mould of a ceramic vase. I scanned both sides of the mould, printed the images large scale, and installed them on opposite sides of the gallery.
